You’re going to be another day older whether you do anything
today or not. So this day, why not just say, “I love you
whether or not you love me.”

That’s the beginning of self-mastery. You’ll have the
freedom inside of you to say, “I love you when you’re here.
I love you when you’re not here. If I never see you again,
I’ll still love you. If you go, I’ll miss you, but that’s
the part of me that’s conditioned to miss. I’ll get over it
because I’m going to go on loving.”
