Chillin in the Chi

So……..as you were all anticipating…I have arrived back from Chicago.  I had a wonderful time.  Friday night we went to this really nice Japanese restaurant called Kiku…It’s kinda like Bennihana’s where they cook in front of you, but the waiter, Alex, was even more talented and the food was excuisite!! After the restaurant we went over to meet Chicago’s sister, brother, and his brother’s girlfriend and family @  On the Border, it’s a Mexican restaurant…they were having a Cinco de Mayo party and the Margarita’s were HUGE!! I couldn’t even finish 1/4 of mine. 😦  2 Kettle One and Seven’s later…we headed over to Rizzo’s.  It’s a swankly little lounge place in Naperville, which is close to where Chicago lives.  The music was good and I definitely had good times!

Saturday we woke up super duper early due to direct sunlight in my face @ 7am….somebody’s room gets very bright early…the weather was crap on Saturday…cold and rainy…2 of my least favorite things.  We still attempted to make it out to the city, and I got to sight see a little.  We then headed over to Dave and Busters…we had a blast…won 2200 tickets and I got to come home w/ a couple of souveniers ( a butterfly nightlight and a cubs fan) luv it!! By the time we got home Saturday we were both beat so we ended up getting some food from Portillos (which their Chilli dogs are amazing), and then watching the De La Hoya fight and then 1/2 of another movie and fell asleep.

Sunday I had my White Castle experience.  Now I know why Harold and Kumar had to have White Castle.  The little bitty burgers just melt in your mouth…I even liked the chicken burgers too…mmm soooo good!! After WC we headed on to see “Made of Honor”…such a good movie…I even shed a couple of tears (which I thought were discreet, but I guess not b/c Chicago said he saw me) ahahha!! When the movie was over, we headed to Pasta Amore for dinner…I had the chicken parmagiana and it was deliciousa! When dinner was over we made the journey to the airport….we said our goodbyes…hugs and smooches…and I headed back home!

Now it’s a morose Monday in Houston and I’m wishing I was anywhere but here… 😦
