Drugs…

Seriously, I’m not one to judge or preach….but there has to be an age that you just become too old to snort, smoke, shoot-up, or pop.  I mean for real….drugs make someone who is 30 look 45.  There is no perk to doing a drug past instant gratification.  Nobody thinks you’re cooler than the other b/c you snort or wig or whatever else you may do.  You honestly don’t know what they mixed in that pill or in that yeyo you are snorting.  You could be inhaling syanide for all you know.  I think anyone who does “party favors” truly does not care about their life and has no self respect.  Yes, I may go out alot and am in the “scene,” but I have NEVER felt the need to join the rest of the addicts.  Yeah, alcohol is a drug…but I’m not dependant on it.  So….the next time you look in the mirror…and you realize that you look like a 55 year old strung out steroid victim….maybe you should join Britney and Lindsay and check yourself into rehab.

  1. I don’t get it… but then again, I don’t like not being in “control” of myself and doing drugs makes you completely out of control… no way I’m allowing a foreign substance to have a say in my life. 🙂 Okay..okay.. I do drink but I don’t get drunk…big difference!

  2. Painkillers, sleep aids, anti-depressants. Over the counter stuff, prescription stuff. Those can seriously mess you up.

We can look at the Britneys and Lindseys and say “Wow, they’re messed up!” But a quiet celeb, an actor known more for his body of work than his social life recently passed away from an overdose of legally obtained, socially acceptable medicinal drugs.

Everybody has to seriously look at what they put in their bodies and think about what it really does.

  3. I found your blog post via Google blog search while searching for Teeth Grinding and your post regarding “Drugs…” looks very interesting to me and it is also very creative. I have a teeth website of my own and I must say that your blog is really good. Keep up the great work on a really high class resource.

In order to better cope with teeth grinding you may try some relaxation techniques and see how you sleep afterwards; yoga and breathing exercises could be of real help. Don’t rush to administrate any drugs since teeth grinding could be dealt with otherwise too, and in far more natural ways. Have a look on the Internet, or talk to a therapist about the best ways to induce a relaxation state. Most people who have listened to soothing music, used aromatherapy or taken a long relaxing bath before going to bed, have shown significant improvement in the bruxism condition.
