Lately I’ve been surrounded by death. I found an old friend who I had lost touch with and when I found her, I found a picture of her tombstone online, if I could only hear her laugh one last time. A friend of mine lost her husband who was a soldier in the military a couple of days ago to cancer, what she would do for one last kiss. Another friend celebrated the anniversary of her father’s death, how she would feel to see his one last smile. I come to work and find out one of my reps had an aneurism and it isn’t looking too good for her, if I could only hear her voice again on that last call. I know they are all in a better place and in the kingdom of Heaven, but it makes me truly humbled by how fast one can go and how our relationships TODAY and NOW are so important. How will you be remembered if you pass? What were the final words you said to someone or what was the last feeling you left them with? These are all important things to think about because we never know when our day comes…it’s all in God’s hands, and THAT is exactly why we need to be as positive as possible and to be and do good for those who are here NOW. We never know when it will be the last laugh, the last kiss, the last smile, the last call, the last cry….always extend yourself, because that is all we have. My love and prayers go out to all of those who have lost someone dear.
