Just got off the phone with one of my friends…Miss Naive…her boyfriend, Mr. Player, is a bouncer/promoter at a couple of clubs here….they have a child together…they’ve been together for atleast 6 years.  So….the point of my story, she calls me tonight upset and distraught b/c she found out he’s cheating on her.  I know what you are thinking….he works @ a club.  I know…I know…but that doesn’t give him right lie to her and cheat on her.  She said that he swept her off her feet when they met and now all he does is lower her self esteem.  I told her that she knows her worth and she needs to build herself up instead of dwelling on the negative.  My advice to her was for her to not nag him, not beg him, not cry to him because nobody thinks that is attractive.  I’ve learned the hard way that the best way to overcome that situation is to put it in your head that you are just going to let it go.  The more you beg and plead someone to stay with you it only pushes them away more.  She said that I lifted her spirits and that my advice to her was the best she’s gotten from any of her friends.  I hope she listens to what I said and follows it.  I just hate to hear any woman hurt especially from a schmuck who tries to lower her.
